Richland's involvement in Northern California dates to the mid 1990's, when it planned and developed the highly successful 2,400-acre Highland Reserve Specific Plan in Roseville, which now includes several thousand homes, multiple business parks and several million square feet of retail, including the Roseville Galleria Mall.
Other Northern California communities in which the company is currently active include Lincoln, Elk Grove, West Sacramento, Tracy, Manteca, Brentwood, Hollister, Salinas and Dixon.

Richland in the CommunityRichland Communities, along with Shea Homes, is assisting with the implementation of the Building Industry Technology Academy (BITA) program at Antioch High School. Established by the California Homebuilding Foundation, BITA is multi-year high school pathway program that provides students with hands-on residential construction experience and training so they are equipped to pursue careers in the industry following graduation. Richland recently sponsored two “Lunch and Learn” programs for Antioch High School students, in which homebuilding professionals shared their backgrounds and experiences to broaden awareness of career opportunities in the construction field. While the students seemed to enjoy the presentations, pizza was clearly the big hit.
